Renault Kwid is one of the bestselling entry level hatchbacks in Indian market, and it has become very popular in short span after its launch. The car spots an aggressive design, which literally introduced freshness in the segment. Inspired as well as intimidated by Renault Kwid, several other automakers are bringing changes to their entry level hatchbacks.

Renault India launched Kwid with a 0.8-litre petrol engine initially, and later it has introduced a 1.0-litre engine to the car as well. The Kwid sports a muscular design, which makes it look like a blend between SUV and hatchback. In terms of interior features also Kwid appears quite stylish compared to its rivals.

When it comes to price hike, Renault is not the only automaker, as Maruti Suzuki too increased price up to Rs. 20,000 across its car line-up earlier in August this year. Now alongside the French automaker two Indian car makers Mahindra and Tata Motors is also preparing to increase price soon, across their line-ups.
