The entry-level hatchback market in India is one of the largest markets in the world. Everyone wants a piece of it. Renault is the latest entrant. Kwid has been the talk of the town lately because it aces every single hurdle you throw at it. Pricing is yet to come, but it is being promised by Renault that the Kwid will deliver the intense amount of value to its customer despite being loaded to the gills in every department.
The Kwid isn’t the only one with that promise as there is the favorite of the masses Honda Brio. Despite not a successful innings in India it continues to do decent numbers and hence we compare them for you to tell you which you should put your money on
Design wise the Kwid is smallest crossover over the lot. Raised stance helps it get that SUV look, meanwhile, at the same time it is a small car which manages to be under the 3.7 meter mark. Brio on the other hand has similar dimension, but is a proper car which sits lower than the Kwid.
Brio is a ‘cute’ car while the Kwid is a man’s car with a heart of a boy, thanks to the typical quirky design of the french manufacturer. Brio still stands out in the market and so does the new kid when it comes comparing to other competitors in this category.
Quality wise, both interior is good enough at this price point. The Fit-finish is also quite impressive and so is the build quality. Features wise both offer things which are unique to each other. While Brio gets steering mounted and controls and CD player. Kwid only gets touchscreen which has Bluetooth and satellite navigation and along with.
Brio still has more space on the inside in the front and the rear with properly reclined seats, meanwhile Kwid back bench feels like bench itself because it positioned low and flat. However Kwid has more boot space at 300 litres while Brio struggles around at 180 litres.
