Based on the KWID concept of the year 2014, this new Renault Kwid hatchback is known as the modern vehicle, which will be offered with unparalleled features in its segment. Based on the new CMF-A Platform (Part of Common Module Family produced by Renault-Nissan Alliance), this platform is designed to be as versatile as the VW MOB platform though the Renault new platform is significantly more cost saving.

As per the Renault Kwid hatchback feature list, the company has offered this hatchback model with the SUV like styling, which includes plastic body cladding at its lower edges along with its front bold looking bumper. It even offers a good ground clearance of 180mm similar like an SUV.

Going inside the cabin, this 5-door Renault Kwid hatchback even offers a digital instrument cluster along with 7.0-inch central infotainment screen. Without specifying much about the interior dimension, the company mentioned that it has offered the best of the interior space and boot space especially for the Indian consumer.

Mechanically, a new 0.8-litre petrol engine will power the vehicle which is supposed to be the extremely well positioned in terms of fuel consumptions along with a 5-speed manual gearbox to channelized the power. As this new Renault Kwid hatchback model as the global model in the company’s lineup, the Renault is hopeful it will make its way to other emerging countries like Russia, Brazil and China pretty soon.

Renault confirms that it has no plans to offer this hatchback to the European country as of now. This is because outside Europe, the company earns almost 46% sales as compared to 37% in 2010. In the national sales, India stands as the world’s third largest market by 2020 for the Renault automaker. Due to this, the company is planning to increase its share in the growing Indian market from 2% to around 5%.

Renault India with the Kwid Hatchback is continuing to expand its portfolio by addressing the correct needs of the customer who want stylish and easy to use vehicle. When launched, the hatchback is going to come with the price tag between INR 3-4 lakhs.
