Renault Kwid bookings closed for STD, RXE(O) & RXT(O) variants, waiting period for this Duster Baby is 9 month for some variants [Update: 50000+ Booking Received]
Break the bucket, is a frustration emotion which I follow to relax myself, this news has just put me onto one such situation. Renault Kwid is a promising hatchback, eagerly awaited by entry car buyers, however, there seems to be a delay by 9 months, to literally lay your hands on the baby Duster from Renault. Renault, are you serious? We are waiting!!!
Here is a news which will make all of the buyers upset, who is looking forward to buy the much awaited Renault Kwid. The car maker has received an overwhelming response from the Indian automotive scene and has gone over and above the production capabilities.
The current production capability of the Kwid at the plant in Chennai is 5000-6000 cars per month, however, with the 38000+ (Update: 50000+) bookings received PAN India, we have go to wait for this Renault Baby by upto 9 Months.
Renault launched the Kwid in September, though deliveries were not yet commenced. The French car maker has high expectations from the baby Duster and would likely look for a second success through the mini SUV/hatchback. Within just two weeks of the launch, Kwid picked up almost 25000 bookings which started with a three-month waiting period.
The Renault Kwid is an entry-level mini SUV with an USP tagged to its price, Rs 2.56 lakh measuring 3,679 mm in length, 1,478 mm in height and width of 1,579 mm. It also features, large 2,422 mm wheelbase and has a 180mm ground clearance. Kwid also breaks the class segment with its 300-litre boot space and an 25.17 km/L class leading fuel economy. The car will be available in Standard, RXE, RXL and RXT variants and it will come with a 2 year/50,000km warranty.

Renault Kwid is aligned up with rival Maruti Suzuki AltoK10 and comes with as many as 60 accessories for detailed personalization unlike to the Alto, which is another USP of the mini Duster.
