Renault Launches New Duster Petrol CVT in India at Rs. 10.32 Lakh

Renault Duster Petrol CVT will be available in RXS trim only; gets five different driving modes along with an all-new 1.5-litre H4K engine

Renault India has introduced the CVT gearbox to the Duster petrol in India at a price tag of Rs. 10,32,215 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It comes equipped with not only a CVT gearbox, but also an all-new 1.5-litre H4K petrol engine replacing the old 1.6-litre motor. While the Duster petrol CVT is available in RXS trim only, the two other available trims are RXE and RXL, equipped with a new 6-speed manual gearbox and pricing starts from Rs. 8,49,575 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Renault Duster is one of the bestselling cars from the French automaker, which is being sold in more than 100 countries and manufactured in 5 countries globally. Last year, Renault India launched the Duster facelift and the diesel variant received an AMT enhancing the popular compact SUV’s appeal further. Now, with the new petrol engine and petrol CVT, it is ready to grab more attention.

The new 1.5-litre H4K petrol engine is not only more powerful than the previous 1.6-litre motor, it is more fuel efficient as well. The petrol engine is capable of churning out 106 PS of peak power at 5,600 rpm and 142 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm, while it offers 14.19 kmpl of fuel efficiency. The CVT gearbox comes offering five different easy-selection driving modes, which are – P (Park), R (Reverse), N (Neutral), D (Drive) and a 6-speed manual mode is there as well.

The diesel variant of the Renault Duster is available in both manual and AMT gearbox options and it kicks out power output in two different state of tune, which are 85 PS and 110 PS. The diesel powered Renault Duster comes available in both 4×2 and 4×4 driving configurations.
