TVS launched refreshed Wego in India, it comes with cosmetic changes to attract more buyers during the upcoming festival season
TVS officially launched the refreshed Wego in India at Rs. 53,027 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The updated scooter retains the same design theme as the previous model, but the company has given new body graphics along with four new colours – Red, Blue, Grey and Black to make the Wego looks fresh.
The Wego also comes with a new design for the seat to make it more comfortable for both rider and pillion. The scooter gets 20 litres utility box and sporty wheel rim stickers also. TVS has also given pass-by switch, which will certainly in handy during the night rides and a maintenance-free battery.
Last year, TVS updated the Wego with new features and all these are available with the refreshed model also. Some of the changes include a new sync braking system, USB charger and a fully digital instrument cluster with service indicator, speedometer, fuel gauge and other details.
TVS Wego is powered by 109.7 cc BSVI complaint engine producing 8 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and 8 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. This engine is mated to V-Matic transmission. The ARAI certified mileage of Wego is 70 kmpl, which is very impressive and most of the owners are getting around 55-60 km mileage.
The braking duties are handled by 220 mm disc at front and 130 mm drum at the rear, but the entry model comes with a 130 mm drum at front. The Wego comes with telescopic suspension at front and unit swing with springs at the rear. The Wego comes with balancing technology and it will help first-time buyers.
The Wego measures 1,834 mm length, 640 mm width, 1,115 mm height and the wheelbase is 1,275 mm. The ground clearance is 150 mm and the kerb weight is 108 kgs. The scooter competes against Hero Duet and Honda Activa in the Indian market. The refresh will certainly help TVS to improve sales of Wego in the festival season.
