Range Rover SVO Design Pack includes a number of visual upgrades and special finishes that can be ordered across the entire lineup
The latest generation Range Rovers will have their luxury appeal up to the next level courtesy of the new SVO Design Pack. Available across all standard wheelbase versions of the Range Rover lineup, it can either be ordered while buying a new SUV or as optional fitment that can be retrofitted to the already existing vehicles.
Going by the name of the special kit, it is created by the brand’s Special Vehicle Operations department that has already produced a handful of performance-based JLR models in recent times. Developed at Land Rover’s technical centre in Coventry, UK there are a range of visual modifications customers can get a taste on.
It includes heavily restyled bumpers up front and the rear, tweaked front grille and variety of side sills among others. The new accessories within the kit will likely make every Rangie look unique with an imposing presence. Also offered are the different finishes like Graphite Atlas, Dark Atlas, Gloss Black and Atlas.
Another eye-catching upgrade is the newly designed quad exhaust pipes integrated into the Design Pack’s bumper. According to the British luxury manufacturer, the flexibility of the SVO Design Pack is that it can be bought along with other visual enhancing updates in any trim – up until the SV Autobiography Dynamic model introduced this year making 550 horsepower.
The purely cosmetic upgrade package is there for the taking in foreign markets right now but the most significant change regarding the powertrain will likely come by the end of next year. A upcoming plug-in hybrid version to be added to the Range Rover line is expected to have an electric range of up to 48 km. Dealers in Europe are receiving orders for the Design Pack and in UK it starts at £10,400 (Rs. 8.57 lakh approx).
