PSA targets to electrify its entire fleet by 2025 including both fully electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid models

PSA plans to launch 40 electric vehicles globally by 2025 in its attempt to grab a large chunk in the world EV market that is about to grow significantly in coming years. The French automobile group is also aiming to electrify its entire portfolio by 2025. This strategy includes launching fully electric models along with introducing hybrid and plug-in hybrid technology as well.

Electric mobility is the one sector, on which almost all the global auto manufacturers have been working for quite some time. Being a major player in the global market PSA doesn’t want to stay behind in the race. Interestingly, as PSA owned French car brand Peugeot is gearing up to reenter Indian market, we can hope to see the company launching its green cars here in near future.

Considering the fact that India is thriving towards zero emission pure electric mobility by 2030 under central government’s Mission EV 2030 strategy, the country is about to become a major EV market in the world. Already several automakers are preparing to roll out their global standard electric vehicles here. To grab a good chunk of the pie, PSA too is expected to follow the same path.

PSA boss Carlos Tavares has revealed that his company is primarily focusing US market for its upcoming green car fleet. Apart from that, the Auto major is also emphasising on shared mobility as an option to grow in business. The company already offers mobility services in USA and it will soon start launching ride sharing service in some major cities across the country.
