Porsche 718 Cayman GTS And Boxster GTS Unveiled

Both the new Porsche 728 Cayman GTS and Boxster GTS are more powerful and tech rich compared to the S and base models

Porsche has revealed the new 718 Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS as they come more powerful than the existing base and S versions. The GTS derived power from a 2.5-litre four cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 365 PS and 430 Nm peak torque.

The updated engine now produces 15 PS and 10 Nm more than the 718 S variant and more crucially 35 PS and 60 Nm in excess of the previous generation GTS models. The new 718 GTS models features a choice of either six speed manual or seven speed PDK automatic transmission and they get standard Sport Chrono Package.

Also standard are the Porsche Active Suspension Management which lowers the Cars by 10 mm and Porsche Torque Vectoring with mechanical rear differential. As for the performance, the PDK equipped GTS models can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds – one tenth faster than the 718 S versions. The maximum speed for both new 718 models are 290 kmph.

The GTS cars also come with new Sport Design apron up front to distinguish itself from the regular range along with blackened headlamps and tail lamps. The black treatment continues in the GTS logos, centrally positioned exhaust outlets and 20-inch alloy wheels.

As for the interior, the 718 GTS models comprise of Alcantara Sport seats stitched onto the headrests while customers will also get access to a sporty steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara leather and a stopwatch part of the Standard Sport Chrono Package.

Prices for the 718 Cayman GTS start at 76,137 euros while the 718 Boxster GTS is prices at 78,160 euros. They are available to order in their home market of Germany and will be rolled out by the end of this year.
