Polaris DAGOR and MRZR4 debuted at the India Defexpo 2016, SPORTSMAN BIG BOSS 6X6 and RANGER 6X6 800 also showcased
Polaris India India Pvt. Ltd., has lifted veils off the DAGOR and MRZR4 in India for the first time at the ongoing 9th edition of the Defexpo India hosted from 28th to 31st March at Goa. The American manufacturer has taken part in the exhibition with four products namely DAGOR (Deployable Advance Ground Off-Road), MRZR4, six-wheeled drive off-roader SPORTSMAN BIG BOSS 6X6 and RANGER 6X6 800.
The fully owned subsidiary of Polaris Industries Inc. from USA, it is the leading company in the manufacturing of off-road and ATV products. It made its first appearance in India by launching a slew of ATVs including Polaris Ranger RZR, snowmobiles and side x side vehicles back in August 2011.
The DAGOR (Deployable Advance Ground Off-Road) was the attention seeker in the event as it has been developed with elements from U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and international Special Operations Forces (SOF) customers and already used by them for various purposes. Developed with combat efficiency and support tactical manoeuvre of combat operations, both DAGOR (Deployable Advance Ground Off-Road) and MRZR4 are built to tackle through difficult terrain and other off-roading conditions.
The DAGOR utilises Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) driveline and has ease of use design which supports easy maintenance. Configurable for variety of purposes, the MRZR4 is transportable and has been purchased by US and other military forces around the globe. It gives optimum flexibility in tactical deployment for defence forces.
On the other hand, the SPORTSMAN BIG BOSS 6X6 and RANGER 6X6 800 can be used for leisure and conventional purposes by adventure enthusiasts. The SPORTSMAN BIG BOSS 6×6 features a six-wheel drive system to manoeuvre through the extreme terrains. The RANGER 6X6 800 has an 800 cc twin-cylinder engine with big bore and automatic adjustments to operate under any temperature and conditions.
