Peugeot SpeedFight Power Scooter is the performance scooter from the brand, which has been recently taken over by Mahindra
Peugeot is one of the few brands which makes four wheelers and two-wheelers at the same time. We in India know them for making four-wheelers as one point of time they were available in our market with some iconic hatchbacks. However, this time around, they have been brought to India as a part of the Expo and sharing the stall with Mahindra.
When it comes to two-wheelers, the manufacturer is known to make a lot of scooters and sell them in the European market. There have been subtle hints from the company that they will launch it here as well with the help of Mahindra. On the face of this new Peugeot SpeedFight Power Scooter looks quite aggressive and has the purposeful elements in styling to make it look racy as it sits low and has a lot creases all around.
Tiny upside down forks, petal discs and 125cc engine speak a lot. Power and torque figures are unknown but given the fact it does 120 km/hr it should have something around 15-17 BHP and same amount of toruqe for fun to ride characteristic that is mated to an automatic gearbox. The scooter has a disc at the rear and uses combi braking system as well. 13-inch wheels on both ends with 130 front tyre and 140 rear tyre to put that power down. Scooter weighs at 130 kgs and has a fuel tank capacity of 8 litres.
Features wise it has a 12V plug, full faced helmet storage on the inside, fully digital instrument cluster, ellipsoid headlights, a rear spoiler for heaven sakes and much more! Expect this scooter to come to India may in the year 2017-2018 if Mahindra is kind enough and Peugeot is willing to do so.
