Nissan Sunny Special Edition variant is available only with a diesel engine and it is positioned below the top end-variant

Nissan Sunny Special Edition launched in India at Rs. 8,48,890 (Ex-Showroom) and it is available only with a diesel engine. The Special Edition model is positioned below the top-end variant and the exterior is finished in white colour with contrasting black roof wrap along with new body decals on side and rear.

The special edition model misses out on alloy wheels, but the company has given black wheel covers and an integrated rear spoiler. The interior changes are minimal as the special edition Sunny is finished in black colour and it comes with new 6.2-inch touch screen infotainment system with phone mirroring.

Nissan has also given new seat covers and floor mats along with standard features like climate control, steering mounted audio controls, rear parking sensor, Bluetooth connectivity, electrically adjustable mirrors, height adjustable driver seat, follow me home headlamps, trunk lamp, multi-information display, rear centre armrest and more.

The Sunny also get lots of safety features like driver side airbag, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, central door lock, door ajar warning, headlight on warning, key remove warning, speed sensing auto door lock, an anti-theft device with alarm, seat belt warning and immobilizer. But the top end model also gets dual airbags.

The limited edition model is powered by 1.5 L K9K diesel engine producing 86 PS of power at 3,750 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. This engine is mated to 5-speed manual gearbox and the claimed mileage of Sunny is 22.71 kmpl. Nissan has given McPherson strut at front and torsion beam axle at the rear.

The regular model of Sunny is also available with 1.5 L petrol engine with 99 PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 134 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This engine is mated to 5-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission. The Sunny compete against Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
