Nissan revises India Lineup, discontinued several variants

Japanese automaker Nissan has made a significant change in is India lineup. The company has now discontinued several variants across its entire model lineup in the country. The Micra hatchback doesn’t come with the manual transmission anymore. Instead all the Micra petrol models are available with CVT gearbox only.

In the present model lineup the Nissan Micra comes with two trims XL and XV for petrol and XL and XL (O) for diesel models. The Micra XL and XV petrol comes with only CVT gearbox and the prices for these two models are Rs. 5.99 lakhs and Rs. 6.80 lakhs (ex showroom, Delhi) respectively. On the other hand, the Micra XL and XL (O) come priced at Rs. 6.49 lakhs and Rs. 7.03 lakhs (ex showroom, Delhi) respectively. The base XE and XZVP diesel trims are discontinued.

On the Nissan Micra Active the XE trim is axed. The other three trims XL, XV and XV S remain unchanged though. The Micra Active XL, XV and XV S petrol models come priced at Rs. 4.56 lakhs, Rs. 4.84 lakhs and Rs. 5.39 lakhs (ex showroom, Delhi). Among other models the Nissan Sunny and Nissan Terrano has received changes.

The Nissan Sunny now comes with a CVT gearbox available on the VX petrol instead of XL petrol. The XV D trim has been axed. Pricing for the Sunny comes between Rs. 7.91 lakhs to Rs. 10.46 lakh (ex showroom, Delhi). The Nissan Terrano line up comes revised as well. The 85 hp diesel XL, 110 hp diesel XL and 110 hp diesel XV trims have been discontinued. After revising, the Terrano comes available XL petrol variant, while on diesel front it gets three trims XE, XL Plus and XV Premium. The Nissan Terrano is priced between Rs. 9.99 lakhs to Rs. 13.15 lakhs (ex showroom, Delhi).
