Nissan India has today launched a limited edition version of the Micra hatchback. It takes styling inspiration from the fashion brand United Colors of Benetton for distinguished exterior and interior design. The Nissan Micra Fashion Edition has been introduced by Bollywood actress Dia Mirza at the UCB store in Ambience Mall, Gurugram.
In a bid to offer a new and stylish choice to the potential customers for the upcoming festive season, the Japanese brand has created the Micra Fashion Edition. According to them, it fetches a sophisticated interior ambience with a host of new features and inspiration derived from Benetton’s rich heritage of Italian style and global research.
Benetton says the Micra Final Edition bears strong synergies with the brand’s social commitments and design aesthetics. The limited production run model features the interior with Benetton signature headrests, accentuated bold stripes and sporty decals. It comes equipped with the recently revealed, NissanConnect integrated information and communication platform that can be accessed through smartphone.
Nissan has stated that the Micra Fashion Edition will be up for grabs during the festive season across all its authorised dealerships in the country. It has been priced at Rs. 6.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is based on the base XL CVT model.
As part of an unique marketing alliance, the first 500 customers of this limited edition will receive a hamper with exclusive Benetton personal accessories such as belts and designer wallets for both men and women. For the Fashion Edition, the built-in NissanConnect platform with a three-year free service package includes a suite of connectivity services regarding convenience, navigation and safety.
The influencing exterior features are new designer body graphics with Micra decal on the side and roof, black wheel covers with orange inserts and black wing mirrors with designer stripes. Inside the cabin the customers will be treated with contrast orange interior with piano black finish, headrest covers with Benetton signature, designer floor mats, European black-coloured seats with orange stitching, etc.
Available in two colour options namely Fashion Black and Fashion Orange, the Nissan Micra Fashion Edition gets 6.2-inch touchscreen audiovisual navigation through phone mirroring and the same 1.2-litre petrol engine which is good enough to develop a maximum power output of 75 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 104 Nm at 4,000 rpm. It is mated to a CVT automatic transmission that helps returning a fuel economy of 19.34 kmpl. Customers can also avail a five-year extended warranty package as well.
