Nissan Kicks Brochure Leaked Ahead Of Launch on 22 January

The Nissan Kicks will launch on January 22 and will become a direct rival to the Hyundai Creta and the Maruti S-Cross

Ahead of its official launch on 22 January, the official brochure of the Nissan Kicks has leaked online. As per the recently surfaced document, the upcoming Hyundai Creta and Maruti S-Cross rival will be available in four variants – XL, XV, XV Pre and XV Pre (O).

While the Hyundai Creta is on sale with two diesel and a petrol engine, the Maruti S-Cross is available with a diesel engine option only. On the other hand, the Nissan Kicks is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol motor of the Kicks displaces 1.5-litre and produces 106 hp. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The diesel engine also displaces 1.5-litre but produces 110 hp and comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The base variant (XL) of the Nissan Kicks will offer many standard features viz. LED DRLs, full wheel covers, height-adjustable driver’s seat, adjustable front and rear headrests, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors with turn indicators, automatic climate control, rear AC vents and four-speaker audio system with Bluetooth, USB, and Aux-IN compatibility. Standard safety features include ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, and a rear defogger.

The top-of-the-line model comes with four airbags, hill-start assist, smart key car, 360-degree outside camera, optional contrast colour for roof, LED headlamps, leatherette upholstery, cruise control, push-button start, smart key car, automatic headlamps, and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, along with steering-mounted controls.

Like is the case with Renault Captur, the paint options for the Nissan Kicks differ with the variant. The XL, XV, and XV-Pre trims get seven colour options – Pearl White, Blade Silver, Bronze Grey, Amber Orange, Deep Blue Pearl, Night Shade and Fire Red.

 

Only the top-spec XV Pre-Option will come with dual-tone paint finish option that will include white and orange, white and black, grey and orange and red and black colour combinations.

The brochure also reveals that the Nissan Kicks will offer an ARAI-certified mileage of 14.23kpl with the petrol engine and 20.45 kmpl in the XL variant and 19.39 kmpl in higher grades.
