Nissan Launches Pre-Owned Car Business In India

Nissan Intelligent Choice will sell quality tested and certified used cars at optimum price; will offer exchange option as well

Nissan has entered the pre-owned car business in India by launching Nissan Intelligent Choice. It has been designed to sell multi point quality checked and certified used cars at optimum price and the service will also offer the multi-brand car owners a chance to exchange their old cars with new Nissan models.

As the Japanese automaker claims, every used car under this pre-owned car business will go through a rigorous 167 point quality check and unique inspection process by the technical experts of Nissan before being certified. To attract the customers Nissan Intelligent Choice will also offer several finance and insurance schemes through Nissan Finance and HDFC Bank. The finance schemes will be offered with lowest rate of interest and loan of up to 95% of the value of the car will be given to customers.

Nissan Intelligent Choice will offer 24×7 roadside assistance to the customers at no additional cost. Also, it will provide up to 12 months or 20,000 km warranty on the pre-owned car. Initially, Nissan Intelligent Choice will be available in ten cities across India that are Noida, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Lucknow, Bangalore, Jaipur, Chennai, Kolkata and Guwahati.

The automaker says that Nissan Intelligent Choice follows the brand’s global business model for the pre-owned cars and it has been very successful in major global markets like Brazil and South Africa. In India too, Nissan is expecting desired success with this used car business.

Interestingly, India is one of the large markets for the pre-owned cars besides being the fifth largest auto market in the world. Pre-owned car business in the country is expected to grow significant in coming years. With no GST applicable for the pre-owned cars being sold by individuals, Nissan is expecting major number of customers opting for exchange offer that will result in boosting Nissan’s new car sales.
