Nissan India corporate office moved to Gurgaon; it is the hub for several automakers like BMW, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki and Renault

Nissan India has moved its corporate office from Mumbai to Gurgaon. The company is taking several strategic moves to expand and strengthen its business in the country. This move is believed to be a part of that. Nissan India is focusing on the northern Indian market. Incidentally, a large number of the stakeholders of Nissan India is from northern region.

In Delhi and NCR several other auto manufacturers have their corporate offices set up. These automakers include BMW, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki and Nissan’s global alliance partner Renault as well. Renault being based in Gurgaon is believed to be one of the reasons behind the Nissan’s corporate office shifting. The Japanese automaker believes Renault’s presence in Gurgaon will help its business as well. Incidentally, Renault and Nissan share alliance globally, In India too, both the companies share manufacturing facilities in Chennai.

In recent times Nissan has taken an aggressive strategy in India. The company showcased the globally appreciated Nissan GT-R officially at the 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo.

The powerful sports car is expected to launch in India soon. Also the company is gearing up to launch the X-Trail Hybrid SUV in the country. The new generation Micra will also enter the country.

Apart from the upcoming launches, recently Nissan India launched the Datsun Redi Go in India. The new hatchback has already garnered quite interest among customers. It has contributed 61% of the total sales for the company. The Japanese automaker is also focusing on the export business.

In India Renault Kwid is a vehemently popular car, which was launched last year. The Kwid comes based on the platform jointly developed by Renault and Nissan alliance. In fact, the Datsun Redi Go also shares the same platform. Inspired with these successes the alliance is taking steps to strengthen its business in the country. Nissan India’s move will further help that initiative.
