Toyota India applied for Etios Cross Dynamique trademark, is special edition version ?
Looking at the charts Etios Cross added to Toyota, it was pretty evident that the company is working on an updated version of the crossover named, Toyota Etios Cross Dynamique. To keep up with the big 3 crossovers in the country, the Hyundai i20 Active, Fiat Avventura and VW Cross Polo, Toyota needs a bench marker that can break into the segment. The company believes that the Etios Cross Dynamique with its proposition will do what Toyota is aiming for in India.
The ‘Dynamique’ is a French word which means Dynamic. Will the Etios Cross Dynamique be truly dynamic? It is yet to be certain. The new Cross will add features allowing the car maker to jump the leap in the competition with the big 3 crossovers.
The Toyota Etios Cross Dynamique will have major cosmetic changes while it’s offered, customers can expect a new styling on the front with slight change on the headlight cluster with no LED DRLs or upper market stuff, however the higher end production version can be built-in. The same smile like two din fiber grille with the logo in the middle.

Lights on the OVRMS and top line models could have electrically foldable OVRMs. The vehicle will also get a better ground clearance giving a chance to get-off the road to raise some dust. Some more changes to the interior with a refurbished dashboard, likely to have dual tone with integrated music system, multi-function steering wheel.
The Dynamique will be presented with the same mill as in the Etios Cross, a 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.4-litre diesel a 1.5-litre petrol. The 1.5 Litre petrol engine churns up 90HP and 132nm of torque and does the 0-100kmph in 11 seconds and claims 16.78 kmpl. The 1.2 Litre 4 cylinder petrol engine pumps out 80HP and 104Nm and fuel efficiency claims 17.71kmpl. The 1.4 Litre Common Rail Diesel Engine with inter-cooler delivers 67HP from a generous torque of 1800-2500RPM and claims 23.59KMPL.
Expect the Toyota Etios Cross Dynamique around the festive season and would be manufactured at the Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. (TKM) Bangalore and would be priced at a competitive price between 7-9 lakhs ex-showroom.
