If Tata Sierra Makes A Comeback, Will It Look This Good?

New Tata Sierra Rendered

This rendering re-imagines the good old Tata Sierra 3 door SUV in its brand new avatar

How many of you remember the Tata Sierra SUV? It was the first ever SUV designed and produced by Tata Motors for India. The three-door Sierra might not have been the best selling SUV of the 90s era but boy oh boy it sure looked cool with its three-door configuration.

Based on Tata Motors Telcoline pickup, the Sierra SUV looked muscular and had a massive road presence back in those days compared to its other rivals. Recently a rendering became quite popular on social media platform and possibly hints of what the Sierra might look like if it ever makes a comeback in the near future.

Saneet Fulsunder, who is popular by the name Saneetf on Instagram, has created this rendered image of an SUV and used the ‘Sierra Nova’ nameplate on it. If we talk about the rendered image, in particular, the SUV gets a 5 door configuration instead of 3 doors found on the original Sierra SUV.

However, this 5 door configuration has added more practicality to the SUV. Towards the front profile, the SUV gets a raised bumper and LED DRL’s which looks quite neat. The front grille with the Tata Motors logo on it has also taken its styling inspiration from the Tata’s new design philosophy.

The window line, in particular, looks quite beautiful as it narrows towards the D-pillar and it seems to have some resemblance with that of the Tata Aria. However, the highlight of the design has to be its rear profile. The reverse L shaped taillamps seems to have been heavily inspired by the Volvo SUV and definitely will help draw everyone’s attention at least once for sure.

Although it’s too early to comment anything about Sierra’s technical specification as there is no official confirmation from Tata Motors yet. However, this rendering especially the ‘Sierra’ nameplate certainly refreshed our memories about the old SUV once again.
