The new Suzuki Alto 660 replaces the Mehran 800 in Pakistan and is locally manufactured at Bin Qasim plant

The 660 cc version of the Suzuki Alto was revealed to the public at the 2019 Pakistan Auto Show just over a couple of months ago in Karachi and its pricing has now been announced. The Suzuki Alto 660 cc starts with a price tag of PKR 999,000 (Rs. 4.45 lakh) for the VX variant while the VXR costs PKR 1,101,000 (Rs. 4.90 lakh) and VXL at PKR 1,295,000 (Rs. 5.77 lakh).

The Alto 660 is the first 660 cc engine equipped vehicle locally produced by Suzuki’s Pakistani division at Bin Qasim plant and it features a 660 cc R-series (R06A) engine. It stands in place of the iconic Mehran 800 that was in business for more than three decades in Pakistan and its bookings were stopped in April.

The entry-level Alto VX does not have air conditioner while the Alto VXR does have that feature and the VXL offers air conditioning as well as an AGS automatic transmission. The range-topping model also gets dual front SRS airbags, power windows, ABS (Anti-lock) Braking System, power steering and a multimedia touchscreen infotainment system.
