Not only the new generation Scorpio, but Mahindra is also working on a small pickup truck, based on the SUV. Keeping the American buyer’s love for utility vehicle, the SUV and the small pickup truck could play vital role in the brand’s plan to enter the US market. Also, it will be sold in European markets as well. Apart from that, the new generation Mahindra Scorpio will strengthen the brand’s grab in the domestic SUV market.

The fourth generation Scorpio project is internally codenamed as Z101 and the company’s R&D centre in Chennai will be handling the engineering and integration work after the design is completed by NATC. The company has already acknowledged that work has began for the new generation Scorpio, but it is not keen to share the details about the SUV.
