New generation Jeep Wrangler features a longer bonnet, redesigned bumpers and revised roof, and it is expected to receive several updated features
Jeep Wrangler is a widely popular model from iconic American SUV maker. The company seems to be working on an all-new generation model of Wrangler. An alleged test-mule of next-generation Jeep Wrangler has been spied testing giving us a sneak-peek of how the upcoming Wrangler could look like.
As it seems, the test-mule of new-generation Jeep Wrangler sports updated front and rear bumper, a revised roof and. The bonnet of test-mule looks longer compared to outgoing Wrangler, and the windscreen looks a bit raked. Front fascia also gets LED round-shaped headlights, and LED daytime running lights could come positioned on front fenders.

The new-generation Jeep Wrangler gets revised front bumper making it more aggressive. At rear profile, the bumper is likely to come updated, while it will also sport LED taillights. Apart from that, the iconic boxy shape is intact. New-generation Jeep Wrangler will be available in a pick-up truck avatar as well alongside three and five-door variants.
The next-generation Jeep Wrangler is based on ladder-frame platform, and it uses plenty of aluminum, which significantly reduced its weight compared to outgoing model. This way, the car is likely to become faster compared to outgoing model and more fuel efficient as well. Inside the cabin, new Jeep is likely to receive several feature updates, and be more upmarket.

On powertrain front, next-generation Jeep Wrangler is expected to get a revised and more fuel efficient 3.6-litre V6 engine, while there will be an all-new 2.0-litre Hurricane turbocharged petrol engine as well. FCA also confirmed that, upcoming Wrangler will be available in hybrid variant as well. Transmission option for this car could include a 6-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
