The test mule spotted in Pune is likely to be the new generation model of Force Trax Toofan or Toofan Deluxe
Force Motors is testing the new generation Trax UV in the country and a test mule has been already spied in Pune. The test mule is likely to be the new generation Trax Toofan or the Toofan Deluxe. Despite heavy camouflage the extended wheelbase of the vehicle is clearly visible.
The image of the test mule also reveals that the vehicle comes with front facing second row seats. If we see the current Trax models, the upcoming new Trax model too is likely to get sideways facing benches or there could a cargo area as well. With around 5-metre long wheelbase, it is expected to offer plenty of space inside the cabin for 12 occupants like the current model.
The front fascia of the new generation Force Trax comes with a large radiator grille that is similar to the Force Trax Toofan Deluxe. The front grille is flanked by the round shaped large headlamps and there is a chunky front bumper as well. The new Force Trax also has vertically positioned taillights at the tailgate instead of the rear bumper and there is a tailgate mounted spare wheel as well.
It is not sure, whether the new generation Force Trax would receive any change in the powertrain or not. The current Force Trax Toofan Deluxe gets energy from a Daimler sourced BS-IV compliant 2.6-litre FM CR four-cylinder diesel engine. The engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission and it churns out 85 bhp of peak power and 230 Nm of peak torque.

Like the current model, Force Motors will target the semi-urban and rural market with this upcoming utility vehicle. The company launched the all-new Gurkha SUV in March this year at a price between Rs. 8.38 lakh and Rs. 9.36 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The car was launched with minor cosmetic updates and some mechanical changes as well.
