This is the time of year when there’s a frenzy in the market owing to a plethora of new car and bike launches in the country. It is in this season when we have many new cars and motorcycles launching between October and December.

This year, like every time, we have many new cars launching in the same period. Here’s a list of new car and bike launches in November 2018 –

Upcoming New Car Launches in November 2018

1. Mahindra Inferno (Y400) aka XUV700

Launch Date: 19th November

Mahindra and Mahindra will launch its all-new flagship in November 2018. Expected to be called the Mahindra Inferno, this new model is codenamed as Y400 and was earlier rumoured to be called XUV700. It will have an approximate price of Rs 24 lakh and will rival the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour.

It will be based on the G4 Ssangyong Rexton that is on sale in several international markets. The only design changes it will carry will come in the form of new badges and a new front grille. Powering the new model will be a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine with a maximum power of 187 bhp. It will come mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. The SUV will come with a four-wheel drive system, which is expected to available as an option.

2. New Maruti Ertiga

Launch Date: 21st November

Another promising model launching next month is the new generation Maruti Ertiga, which will go on sale on 21st November. The second-generation of the popular MPV looks a lot more modern, has a more spacious interior, more features, and will have a new petrol engine as well. It should cost approximately Rs 7.5 lakh to 12 lakh.y connectivity options.

While the new Maruti Ertiga will retain the current 1.3-litre diesel engine, the petrol model will be powered by the new K15B 1.5-litre petrol engine that powers the Maruti Ciaz facelift. The new motor, which replaces the earlier 1.4-litre petrol engine, produces a maximum power of 103 bhp along with a peak torque of 138 Nm.

The new petrol engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard along with a 4-speed automatic transmission as optional.

Upcoming New Bike Launches in November 2018

1. Royal Enfield Interceptor 650

Launch Date – 14th November

The 650cc twins from Royal Enfield, the iconic Indian bike maker, are easily among the most awaited upcoming bikes of all times. The Interceptor 650 will launch in India on November 14 and is expected to have a base price of INR 2.75 lakh. At this price point, it will be the most affordable 650cc twin cylinder motorcycle on sale in India. It will even become the least priced twin-cylinder offering in the country.

It’s being said that the first lot of the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 has already reached the dealerships. Powering the flagship RE is a 648 cc parallel twin SOHC engine that outputs a maximum power of 47 Bhp @ 7,250 rpm and a peak torque of 52 Nm @ 5,250 rpm. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. A slipper clutch will be standard fitment.

2. Royal Enfield Continental GT 650

Launch Date – 14th November

Another upcoming Royal Enfield 650 cc motorcycle in India will be the Continental GT 650. It will also launch on November 14. Of course, the engine will be shared with the Interceptor 650, and the twin-cylinder motor will produce the same maximum power and torque figures as it will for the other motorcycle. The new model will likely have a base price of Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom).

3. Jawa 300cc Roadster Render

Yes, the Jawa brand of motorcycles is about to make its re-entry into India. The reincarnated bike brand will launch on November 15 by Mahindra’s subsidiary that goes by the name of Classic Legends.

The new Jawa motorcycle for India will be powered by an all-new 293 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that features dual overhead camshafts. The engine also offers fuel injection and outputs a maximum power of 26.6 Bhp and a peak torque of 28 Nm. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This engine will be based on the motor that powers the Mahindra Mojo.
