The mighty BMW M5 takes power from a 4.4-litre TwinPower V8 engine producing 600 PS power and 750 Nm of peak torque
The latest iteration of the BMW M5 was unveiled for the first time globally back in August 2017 ahead of making its public premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September with much anticipation and delight.
The M5 is well-known for its driving dynamics globally and the German auto brand has managed to fit a roof finished in the lightweight carbon fibre material to help reduce the overall weight of the car.

The new BMW M5 is powered by a 4.4-litre TwinPower turbocharged V8 engine tuned by the brand’s M division. It is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 600 PS and peak torque of 750 Nm.
It is mated to the known eight-speed automatic transmission and helps transferring power to all the four wheels through a brand new AWD system.

The 2018 BMW M5 is claimed to be capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds and 0-200 kmph is dealt in just 11.1 seconds. However, the top speed is electronically limited to 250 kmph but it can be increased to 305 kmph through an optional M Driver’s package in international markets.
Comparatively, its main rival Mercedes AMG E63 4Matic makes less power. The Merc uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 571 PS and 750 Nm of peak torque similar to the M5. It has a top speed electronically limited to 250 kmph. Its S version produces 612 PS and 850 Nm from the same engine though.

As for the exterior, it comes equipped with a blacked-out kidney grille with chrome trim and newly designed bumper with bigger air intakes apart from black and silver wheels over gold brake calipers. Other important features on the outside are quad tailpipes, a black rear diffuser and subtle trunk lid lip spoiler.
