The new generation 2017 Nissan Micra has been teased and it comes radically different looking compared to the outgoing model

Nissan has teased the India bound 2017 Micra, right ahead of its debut in upcoming Paris Motor Show later this month. The new generation Nissan Micra comes radically different looking, compared to the outgoing model. The car looks aggressive and much sportier than before, and it is expected to come to Indian market sometime next year. The 2017 Nissan Micra is based on the Renault-Nissan alliance developed CMF platform.

The car will be built at the Renault’s Flin plant in France, while in India it will be built at Renault-Nissan alliance’s Oragadam plant near Chennai. The new Micra follows the design language of the Nissan Sway concept, showcased at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The front fascia of the car looks very aggressive compared to the outgoing model. It sports a V shaped sleek chrome bar at the black front grille, while the headlamp clusters come sharp looking; featuring projector lamps.

Side profile of the car is expected to get some changes as well, which will make the new Micra sportier. The doors get larger, and the character lines are more prominent. Rear fascia also gets new look with horizontally positioned taillights, roof spoiler etc; and expect the rear bumper to come revised as well.

Overall, the car looks larger and wider than the outgoing model. Also, being based on the CMF-B platform, the new generation Nissan Micra features more space inside the cabin. Expect some upmarket features to be available inside the cabin of the car. It could get a touchscreen infotainment system at the centre console, giving the cabin a more premium feel.
