MV Agusta And Lewis Hamilton Join Hands For New Project


The alliance will spawn multiple MV Agusta special edition bikes that will arrive sometime next month

Exotic Italian bike manufacturer MV Agusta has recently announced its new partnership with renowned British Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton. Under the upcoming alliance, the two will be coming out with special edition MV Agusta motorcycles that will see the light next month.

Regarding the announcement of new partnership, Mr Giovanni Castiglioni, MV Agusta Motor President stated that he met Lewis Hamilton a few years back when the Formula One star contacted the MV Agusta customer care and asked in a humble way that he wishes to buy one of company’s special motorcycle. He further said that after designing some special one-on-one special bikes for Lewis, the company decided to turn the common passion into a partnership. As a result of this, the special edition Dragster RR LH took its birth and only 244 units of the same were built, being a limited edition model. For those not in the know, the said motorcycle got sold in just a few hours after its launch.

Commenting on the same, Lewis Hamilton said that he is very much excited in continuing his partnership with the MV Agusta brand. The star said he loves to work with Giovanni and the people at the company. Lewis further continued by saying that the passion for engineering and the attention to detail delivered by the employees at MV Agusta is indeed stunning and hence, they managed to develop some of the most beautiful machines on earth.

The MV Agusta Dragster RR LH is powered by a 798cc, inline three cylinder engine that has been linked to a six-speed transmission set up. The fuel injected motor churns out respective power and torque outputs of 140 bhp and 86 Nm. The motorcycle accounts for a dry weight of 168 kgs and was available for sale in White Ice Pearl & Metal Black Carbon colour option.
