The soon to be launched powerful Royal Enfield Continental GT650 can be seen equipped with new accessories never spotted before

While the whole world, as well as we Indians, are waiting eagerly for the more powerful Royal Enfield 650 twins the new Continental GT650 was spotted in flesh with some new accessories which were never seen before earlier. To begin with, the café racer was spotted with a small windscreen which is positioned just above the round headlamp unit.

This particular motorcycle was also featured a new dual tone finish bar end mirrors which replaced the stock mirrors. These bar end mirrors looked quite premium and went well with the overall theme. There is also a new crash guard towards the front of the motorcycle to protect the bike in case of a fall.

However, the major addition to this motorcycle comes in the form of a new saddle which replaces the old single seat and the cowl seen while the bike was unveiled in front of the crowd. There is even a black round shaped grab rail for the pillion at the rear of the motorcycle as well.

The saddle looks quite comfortable and we are pretty sure won’t be uncomfortable for long journeys. Lastly, you can even notice saddlebag stays on both sides of the motorcycle which will help balance saddle bags if one is planning to tour on the Continental GT650.

All the above accessories not only helped in giving a complete retro look to the motorcycle but also made it usable for long tours. As far as the specifications are concerned both the RE 650 twins will be powered by the same 648cc parallel twin cylinder, SOHC, air-cooled, fuel injected motor.

This new motor will produce about 47 bhp of maximum power @ 7,100 rpm and 52 Nm of peak torque @ 5,200 rpm and will be paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The braking duties will be performed by a 320 mm disc at the front and 240 mm disc at the rear. Both the motorcycle will come fitted with Bosch (9.1) Dual Channel ABS for added safety.
