Hyundai Elite i20 is one of the most popular hatchbacks in its segment thanks to its design and long list of features. The Korean manufacturer competes in WRC championship with rally spec i20 and it has lots of changes to make it go faster along with aggressive body. We have come across this Elite i20, which has been modified like the WRC spec i20.
The modified Elite i20 gets custom hyper wide body kit. The stock grille and bumper has been replaced with a new wider grille and instead of fog lamps they have given big air-intakes. The front bumper has air-pockets on both sides to channel air. They have also given massive bonnet scoop, which is placed just for aesthetics rather than function.
The stock headlamps have been replaced by custom HID headlamp units with auto turn lights. The changes to side include new body skirts that increases width compared to stock Elite i20. They have also given 17 inch alloy wheels with 225/45 R17 Nankang tyres and the stock suspension has also been lowered.
At rear, they have given new bumper along with HKS quad exhaust tips. The Elite i20 is finished in custom Lamborghini green paint job and black finish for roof and mirrors. They have also made some changes to interior, which include new leather seats with extra thigh support and Rockford Fosgate music system with subwoofer and Hertz amp.
The engine and other mechanical parts remains stock. The owner has spent four lakh on modifications and it is an attention grabber where ever it goes. Hyundai Elite i20 is powered by both diesel and petrol engines. The 1.2 L engine produces 82 bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
The 1.4 L diesel engine puts out 89 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 220 Nm of torque. The petrol engine is mated to 5 speed manual and CVT gearbox while diesel comes in 6 speed manual only.
