Mitsubishi previews upcoming MPV through the XM Concept crossover which comes larger than the eX Concept
Japanese automaker Mitsubishi has unveiled its XM concept at the 2016 Indonesia International Auto Show. This concept also gives us the preview of the upcoming Mitsubishi MPV, which is expected to come in public in October, 2017. The concept looks a bit bigger than the eX concept which was unveiled last year.
The XM concept looks like inspired by the eX concept. The new concept takes some design cues from the previous one. The distinctive styling is visible though. At the front fascia, the concept gets the X shaped radiator grille, which blends well with the headlamps clusters and lower bumpers. The headlamp clusters sport a sleek and trim appearance. The front grille is expected to get loads of shiny chrome treatment.

At the upper part of the grille the car features two horizontal chrome slats. The front bumper looks massive with vertically placed fog lamps. An aluminium skid plate is also expected to be positioned at the front bottom.
Move to the side profile, the XM concept gets flared wheel arches, aggressive looking alloy wheels, sharp character lines, sporty roof rail, side sill and blackened glass area with chrome trim.
The rear profile of the XM concept gets an integrated roof spoiler, wrap around sleek LED taillamps, beefy bumper. The interior of the car is also quite impressive. It features a three row seating arrangement. Up front the car gets multifunction steering wheel, wide instrument cluster. The instrument cluster might adorn full digital look.
The centre console sports an uplifted touchscreen infotainment system. Apart from these features the dashboard looks clean. Another mention worthy feature is the sleek and vertical AC vents placed a6t both ends of the dash.
Talking about the powertrain, the Mitsubishi is tight lipped about the power source of the XM concept. But we can expect it took the same power source like the eX concept. The Mitsubishi eX concept was powered by an all electric powertrain and it was also equipped with All Wheel Drive configuration.
