Mitsubishi Pajero Sport ‘Select Plus’ gets black HIDF projector headlamps, LED DRL, black radiator grille and plenty of chrome embellishment

Japanese auto major Mitsubishi has silently launched the Pajero Sport Select Plus in India, priced from Rs. 28.60 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The SUV sports several additional accessories and distinctive styling compared to the standard Pajero Sport. It is available in four different dual-tone paint scheme options that are – Red and Black, Yellow and Black, White and Black along with Silver and Black.

Speaking about the additional design elements and distinctive styling, this large SUV gets black HID projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, shiny black radiator grille and front bumper. It runs on 17-inch black sporty alloy wheels. At the side profile, it sports black flared wheelarch moulding, black roof rails and chrome capped ORVMs along with chrome finished door handles.

The pillars and roof are blackened and deliver a dual-tone exterior paint scheme. Rear profile of the SUV gets chrome garnishing on door handle and license plate as well. Dimensionally, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport ‘Select Plus’ measures 4,695 mm in length, 1,815 mm in width and it gets 1,840 mm of height. The car has 2,800 mm of wheelbase and a ground clearance of 215 mm.

Inside the cabin too, it has received several upgrade like illuminated scuff plate, sporty beige coloured premium leather seats, multi-function steering wheel with leather treatment. Apart from that, the 6-speaker audio system with touchscreen infotainment system at the centre console and DVD player behind the front seat headrests enhance the premiumness of the cabin.

Power source for the car is the same 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine that is capable of churning out 178 PS of peak power at 4,000 rpm and 350 Nm of maximum torque generated between 1,800 rpm and 3,500 rpm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed INVECS-II automatic gearbox as well. It is available in both 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrain layout options. It will lock horns with rivals like Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.
