Minor Facelift of Nissan Micra CVT launched; the hatchback gets new colour scheme with ‘Sunshine Orange’ featuring an all black interior

Japanese auto manufacturer has launched a refreshed Micra hatchback in Indian market, which comes with minor facelift. The car comes at no extra cost, as the pricing range remains Rs. 4.55 lakhs (ex showroom, Delhi) for the Active petrol line up and the CVT variant comes available at Rs. 5.99 lakhs (ex showroom, Delhi). The facelifted model comes donning an all new exterior paint, which is called ‘Sunshine Orange’.

Along with the ‘Sunshine Orange’ paint scheme the new Micra also comes with an all black interior theme, which gives the car a sporty and upmarket feel. It gets a black centre console with piano black finishing, black seat fabric and upholstery with blue stitching delivering a stylish feel, while the door trims also come donning black theme. The Nissan Micra Active sports a black instrument cluster and silver painted door arm rest.

Though the new colour has been introduced at exterior and inside the cabin, structurally the Nissan Micra remains identical. It comes sporting roundish swept back headlamps, sleek small radiator grille with signature chrome garnished V trim, larger air intake with hexagonal mesh, chrome finished fog lamps enclosures. At the side profile, the car features multi spoke alloy wheels, nicely curved roofline, and blackened glass area. Also it comes with LED taillights, while other features include push start/stop button, intelligent key.

Mechanically, the car has received no change at all, as the Nissan Micra comes drawing power from a 1.2 litre three cylinder engine generating 77 PS of peak power. The CVT gearbox surely enhances the appeal of the car, as it makes the commuting much easier in bumper to bumper traffic condition, while the fuel economy is 19.34 kmpl.

Nissan is also working a whole new generation model of Micra, which has been spied testing on roads several times. The new generation Micra comes sporting a radically different design, which looks very aggressive and bold compared to the outgoing model. The new generation model will come featuring not only a redesigned exterior, but the interior will also don upmarket features, and the powertrain also is expected to get a change.
