MG Hector, the first product of Morris Garages for India, a 94-year old British brand was recently launched in the domestic market taking everyone by surprise. Starting at Rs 12.18 Lakh (ex-showroom), the MG Hector is one of the most affordable and feature loaded premium SUVs in India.
However, more than the product itself, it’s the after-sales support like warranty, accessories and maintenance packages that make the MG Hector such a desirable deal. Here’s a look at these services-
1. Warranty
The MG Hector is offered with a standard warranty of 5 years/unlimited kilometer for personal vehicle owners and 5 years/ 150,000 kilometer for fleet owners. The company is also offering a roadside assistance service of 5 years with the SUV. Five free services for the SUV are also on offer. MG is calling this service as 5-5-5 benefit. The package is relatively better than the rivals like Jeep Compass (3 years/ 1 lakh kilometer) and Tata Harrier (2 years/1 lakh kilometer).
2. Maintenance Packages
MG is offering the Hector with multiple maintenance packages called Shield Protect Plans – Classic and Premium. Here’s a look at the prices-

Petrol – Rs 8000 for 3 year/ 30,000km and Rs 13000 for 5 year/ 50,000km
Diesel – Rs 15000 for 3 year/ 45,000km and Rs 28000 for 5 year/ 75,000km

Petrol – Rs 30000 for 3 year/ 30,000km and Rs 55000 for 5 year/ 50,000km
Diesel – Rs 50000 for 3 year/ 45,000km and Rs 80000 for 5 year/ 75,000km
