2016 Delhi Auto Expo: Mercedes Maybach S600 Guard revealed
Cloaks have been lifted off the Mercedes Maybach S600 Guard at the Auto Expo 2016 today along with a host of other important vehicles about to be introduced for Indian market. The S600 Guard is the only guard vehicle certified with VR9, the highest ballistics protection class existing currently.
Despite the armoured nature, the Maybach provides all the excessive comfort the flagship S-Class can deliver. It comes equipped with AIRMATIC suspension, intelligent driver assistance systems and adapted control functions.
Powering the chunky S600 Guard is a big V12 petrol engine producing 530 hp of power and 830 Nm of peak torque mated with the proven 7G-TRONIC automatic gearbox. The AIRMATIC air suspension has reinforced front air springs, variable damper control and steel springs at the rear axle for extra protection.
The brakes have been made considerably larger than the S-Class with big six-piston brake callipers and brake discs. The Michelin PAX run-flat tyres has TPMS(Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) technology allowing the vehicle to reach distance of up to 30 km even on damaged tyres.
The Mercedes Maybach S600 Guard comes with EASY ADJUST luxury head restraints, multi contour outer rear seats, seat heating plus, ENERGIZING massage function, LED intelligent light system, 360° camera, heated windscreen and side windows, a cooling compartment at the rear, hydraulic power for the heavy side windows, opaque roller blinds at the back, automatically activated fire extinguisher system, emergency fresh air system protecting passengers from smoke or hazardous gases and panic alarm system.
