Mercedes Benz will showcase their upcoming pickup at Paris Auto Show

German automaker Mercedes Benz might take the cover off its upcoming pickup truck at the upcoming Paris Auto Show, as British magazine Auto Express reports. Although it’s a pickup truck, but the vehicle will carry the luxuriousness. The German brand is considering the American market for the upcoming pickup, and is expected to decide this year only.

The X Class pick up will come in a butch looking four door cab configuration. The pickup will get sharp headlamps with LED daytime running lights, aggressive looking front grille with the Mercedes Benz logo sitting at the middle. The lower bumper will get a muscular appearance with round fog lamps at both sides, air intake and skid plate. The hood will get sharp creases running toward the nose. The side profile also will get thick character lines, side turning indicator integrated ORVMs and bold looking five twin spoke alloy wheels. Over all, the entire vehicle will sport a muscular beefy appearance. Although the X Class is a pickup truck, but expect the car to come in several features which is not actually seen in other cars. After all it’s a Mercedes Benz pickup.

The Mercedes Benz X Class pickup truck will share its mechanicals with the 2016 Nissan Navara 1 ton pickup which is sold in Europe, although the engine under the hood of the Mercedes Benz X Class will be the german automaker’s own. Expect the engine options to come in form of a four cylinder, a six cylinder and a petrol plug in hybrid as well. The hybrid engine will be offered later albeit.

Mercedes Benz will offer the X Class pickup truck in dual versions. One of them will be a commercial spec version which will get a simple cabin sans luxury elements, while the other version will come in a luxurious mode which might don the elements seen in the Mercedes crossovers like GLE class.
