The BMW G 310 R as well as the BMW G 310 GS are underpinned by a steel trellis chassis, with a separate sub-frame. Both the motorcycles come with the same braking setup, same engine, and many similar features. But in terms of the riding experience, both are really different from each other.

On the other hand, the BMW G 310 GS gets a 19-inch alloy wheel at the front and a 17-inch wheel at the rear. These are shod with MetzelerTourance tires that help the motorcycle easily go off the road. Powering both the motorcycles is a reverse-inclined 313.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that pushes out 34 hp of maximum power and 28 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.
