Maruti’s Nexa Dealerships to Increase Up To 400 by 2020

Maruti aims to launch 60-70 Nexa outlets in current fiscal; plans to increase the number by up to 300 by 2019-20

Maruti Suzuki is planning to increase its Nexa retail network up to 400 by the end of 2020. The premium dealership chain has 250 outlets across the country and the Indo-Japanese automaker aims to set up 60-70 more showrooms in the current fiscal. By the end of 2019-20 financial year, Maruti Suzuki aims to increase that up to 300.

Maruti is also focusing on luring its increasing young buyers towards the premium retail network that currently sells models like Ignis, S-Cross, Baleno and Ciaz. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Vitara S too will be sold through this network. Apart from that, the S-Cross facelift and Ciaz facelift too will be retailed through Nexa only.

India’s biggest auto manufacturer also plans to increase its True Value pre-owned car showroom network with 150 more outlets across the country by the end of current fiscal. The automaker also says that it will emphasise more on digital experience and improved car buying experience that will help in boosting the number of sales for the brand in long run. Despite being the king of the mass-market passenger vehicle segment, Maruti Suzuki has established itself in the premium segment as well thanks to the models like Baleno, Ciaz, Ignis and of course with the Nexa retail chain.

Since its inception in 2015, Maruti’s Nexa dealership network has seen increasing footfall and a major number of that are attributed to the brand’s young customers. The Nexa retail network provides an unique and premium car buying experience compared to the regular showrooms, that has helped in increasing the sales number for the models like Baleno.

The upcoming Nexa dealerships will not only sell cars. These outlets will provide specialised servicing for the cars sold through the network. Apart from this, Maruti is also aiming to expand the number of its regular showrooms as well. There will be 40 regular outlet by August this year, while the by March next year there will be 40 more showrooms across the country.
