Dispatch of Celerio DDis 125 Demo Car begins to West & South India
Maruti Suzuki all ready to launch the Celerio Diesel variant as Celerio DDis 125 along with AMT version of ZXI. The diesel variants news has been revolving around Maruti and the internet quite some time now, our folks at GaadiWaadi have managed to spy the diesel version of the Celerio many times before which is scheduled to launch next month.
Our earlier post on the Celerio diesel spied parked in the Manesar plants stockyard comes as a proof of the production being obvious and now we see the ready to dispatch 300+ cars and some cars were spied loading to trailer. The trails of the diesel variant started in March with Maruti Suzuki manufacturing only 3-4 units per day and as per reports, from last one and a half month the company has only built 300+ Celerio Diesel cars.
The Celerio DDis 125 will be using an all new 793CC two cylinder engine, with an expected output of 38-52HP at a torque of 125Nm (expected). Maruti will launch the Celerio Diesel with a manual transmission, however the Automatic transmission is not too far from reality as the petrol version already has AMT. The new diesel engine is expected to deliver a mileage close to 30 kmpl. If the figure turns out to be true, the Celerio diesel will become the most fuel-efficient car in the country even beating the recently launched Swift Dzire facelift (26.59 km/l) and Maruti Ciaz diesel (26.21 km/l).
With regards to the interior the diesel variant will as good as the earlier petrol version when you can expect the premium features in the top of the line model. Once the Celerio Diesel launches it will be put against to the rivals in the segments which are Chevrolet Beat diesel and the upcoming Tata Kite Small Hatchback. The Celerio diesel is aimed at offering high value as a diesel offering from the brand which will set a position for Maruti in the market as well as meet the rising demand for diesel cars in the Indian automobile market.
