The rendered image portrays the hatchback in aggressive manner with larger grille and air intake, revised headlamps and sporty alloy wheels
Wagon R is one of the bestselling and most popular hatchbacks in India from Maruti Suzuki for quite long time. Some people might think a facelift is due for the car, but the automaker is yet to take any such project in hand. However, graphic artist Adrians Ramadhani has rendered a facelift of the Wagon R GS that portrays the car in very aggressive manner.
The rendering imagines the car like a micro SUV. It looks pretty interesting, if you think Maruti could make it a Kwid challenger. But such a facelift version of the popular hatchback is very unlikely. Speaking about the design, the rendered image shows it gets a large radiator grille with plenty of chrome garnishing and the headlamps too appear redesigned.

The front bumper looks pretty muscular with a larger air intake and the overall front profile bears similarity to the new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. It clearly has been inspired by Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield front fascia design. In order to make it sportier the rendered image also gives the car sporty alloy wheels, turn indicator integrated ORVMs, blackened B pillar.
The tallboy design and the boxy shape of the car are intact in the rendered image. Rear profile gets a roof spoiler and vertically positioned taillights. So far, the rendering imagines Wagon R facelift in a very attractive and sportier guise compared to the current model.

Wagon R is not only popular in Indian market, but in several global markets as well. The India-spec Maruti Suzuki Wagon R gets power from a 1.0-litre K10B SOHC petrol engine coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox and there is an AGS variant on offer as well. The engine is capable of churning out 67 bhp of peak power at 6,200 rpm and 90 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm.
