New Ford Ecosport v Maruti Vitara Brezza Comparison Verdict

The subcompact SUV segment is one of the toughly contested spaces in the Indian market as almost all the big players have entered. Maruti Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza is still churning big numbers when compared to EcoSport or others in the fray. However, customers these days are not shying away from reaching out to their potential options.

The EcoSport was indeed the initial benchmark in the segment but it lost out to Vitara Brezza by a huge margin since it was launched, The facelifted model though is looking set to get back to the glory days with a powerful engine lineup, packed features list and competitive pricing. It can be called as a proper facelift in all measures and it reflects in the recent selling numbers.

The tried and tested diesel engine in the Vitara Brezza is a big plus for Maruti Suzuki but since more buyers are shifting towards petrol models, it is important to bring in such variants sooner rather than later. Overall, we would put the money on Ford EcoSport until a petrol motor is introduced in the Brezza and see how it goes!
