Maruti Vitara Brezza received 20000 bookings in 2 weeks of its launch, could break all previous booking records in India

Maruti-Suzuki launched the Vitara Brezza on 8th of this month and it has received over 5600 bookings in 48 hours while the booking numbers now crossed 20000 bookings in just 2 weeks. Surely very encouraging fact for the Indo-Japanese automaker. Vitara Brezza marks the automaker’s entry in the highly competitive segment of Indian automobile market. Placed under the sub-4 metre compact segment it locks horn with the cars like Mahindra TUV300 and Ford EcoSport. It will be sold in six different trims, LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi and ZDi+. The base trim price is Rs. 6.99 lakh, while the top end trim bears a price tag of Rs. 9.68 lakh.

Maruti Vitara Brezza is designed in a very aggressive way. It gets vertically slated front grille, chrome garnishing, silver skid plates, automatic projector headlamps, bull horn pattern LED daytime running lights, clamshell bonnet, optional dual tone body colour, thick black plastic cladding, 16 inch alloy wheels with all black look.

The interior gets an all black sporty appearance, multifunction steering wheel, cockpit style instrument panel with mood lighting available in five different colours, piano black finished touchscreen infotainment panel with Apple CarPlay and SmartPlay, cruise control, rain sensing wipers, reverse parking camera with guidelines.

With 2500 mm of wheelbase the car offers generous amount of leg space and knee room for the rear occupants, while it also gets 328 litres of boot space, which can be extended by folding the rear seats.

Maruti Vitara Brezza is available in one single engine, which is the 1.3 litre DDiS 200 MultiJet diesel unit. It is paired with a five speed manual transmission to deliver 90 PS peak power and 200 Nm peak torque.

The car delivers a fuel efficiency of 24.3 kmpl, which makes it the most fuel efficient compact SUV of India beating Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300. Initially Maruti-Suzuki is offering the diesel variant, but later they will launch a petrol variant with AMT gearbox although.
