Maruti Suzuki aiming to bring the successful model Swift as Swift AMT

Maruti Suzuki the automotive leader with largest sales based in India is aiming to give the successful Swift a touch of automatic sensation. With the Celerio AMT proved to be a very triumphant model for the company and realizing that AMT technology has played a vital role in charging the charts up, Maruti is now looking to introduce the Swift AMT (Automatic Manual Transmission) and you can expect it by the arrival of festival season.

The Swift AMT combination would be a feather in the history of the company with the age of automatic transmissions competitiveness is becoming stiffer. The Maruti Dzire might also be equipped with the AMT, however speculation suggest Maruti is not a fast go-getter and it might take time for the company to come out with Ideas worth-a-wait. Once the Swift Amt is launched, Maruti’s aim of covering all customer of the segments would be achieved.

Technically with the engines, nothing would change is what we believe and would be available in both Petrol and Diesel engine specifications.

Swift Diesel in AMT already in Research & Development

Which means the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel will continue, however with a bit more torque added to it for adding fun to the driving with the five-speed AMT transmission.

Swift AMT in Diesel likely to be priced 45K more then MT version and likely deliver the mileage around 26 km/l

To make the AMT version more stylish Maruti might get all of those latest gadgets which cosmetically gives glamour to the vehicle like DRLs, Chrome inserts on bumpers, chrome slat grille or multi-lined grille, fog lamps, projector headlamps. Now, these are the features available on the similar class competitors where the Swift Diesel AMT could be seen sharing the charts.
