Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has today announced that it is celebrating six years of existence of the Arena dealerships. The largest car producer in the country sells passenger vehicles under two retail chains: Arena and Nexa. The former pertains to volume-based models like Alto, WagonR, Swift, Dzire, Brezza, Ertiga and Celerio.
Through the Maruti Suzuki Arena outlets, six of the top ten most sold cars in 2022 were retailed. Within a span of six years, the Arena dealerships have been responsible for selling 7.05 million cars in the domestic market. Spread across the country, Maruti Suzuki currently has a whopping 2,853 outlets across 2,392 cities.
Maruti Suzuki says the Arena has spread the ‘Joy of Mobility’ to over 10 lakh families across India, every year and it contributed to 68 per cent of overall Maruti Suzuki sales in the financial year 2023-24 until July. The first Maruti Suzuki Arena showroom was inaugurated in 2017. The company says 24 of the 26 steps in the automotive consumer journey have been digitalised to match the ever-changing customer requirements.
Commenting on the huge milestone, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “Driven by the idea of offering tailor-made experiences, the ARENA channel has been able to touch the lives of over 7.05 million customers, in just six years. This is a true testament of the customer’s trust and confidence in the channel, encouraging us to meet and exceed their expectations.”
The Maruti Suzuki Arena retail network has been responsible for more than 29 per cent market share in FY 23-24 till July. The portfolio comprises as many as nine models across different segments and price brackets. Celebrating its sixth anniversary, the Arena showrooms will introduce a new brand campaign dubbed ‘Find Your Match’.
All the Arena dealerships are designed to offer modern experiences such as car customisation, access to detailed product information and digital exploration through ARENAVerse. Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the next generation Swift and Dzire sometime next year in India and over the last two years, almost all models sold via Arena have been updated.
