The Nexa Blue colour is one of the seven exterior shades that will be offered with the Maruti Suzuki Jimny upon its launch
The five-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny made its global debut at the 2023 Auto Expo in January alongside the Fronx compact SUV coupe. The former will go on sale in May while the latter will have its prices announced sometime next month. The display units of both SUVs have started reaching dealerships across India ahead of their respective launches.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny will be available in a total of seven colour schemes including give monotone shades and two dual-tone options including the Kinetic Yellow shade (with Bluish Black Roof). It was originally developed to make the lifestyle off-roader stand out in poor weather conditions. Here you see the first images of the signature Nexa Blue colour spotted in Shimla.
The other colour options that will be offered are Bluish Black, Sizzling Red with Bluish Black Roof, Sizzling Red, Granite Grey and Pearl Artic White. The India-spec Jimny measures a length of 3,985 mm, a width of 1,645 mm and a height of 1,720 mm with a wheelbase length of 2,590 mm and a ground clearance of 210 mm.
The Jimny has a bootspace capacity of 332 litres with the rear seat folded. It comes with an approach angle of 36 degrees, a departure angle of 50 degrees and a ramp breakover angle of 24 degrees. The five-door Jimny has larger proportions than the global three-door model and is more spacious with an increased boot volume for improved practicality.
The lifestyle off-road SUV will compete against the upcoming five-door Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha. It is constructed on a ladder frame chassis and boasts a three-link rigid axle suspension and an AllGrip Pro 4WD system with low-range transfer gear (4L mode). The exterior comprises a clamshell bonnet, vertical slits in the front grille, tall pillars, a flat roofline and round-shaped headlamps.
The cabin features a nine-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with HD display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Arkamys audio, six airbags, etc. As for the performance, a 1.5-litre K-series engine with idle start/stop tech capable of 104.8 PS at 6,000 rpm and 134.2 Nm at 4,000 rpm. It is paired with a five-speed MT or a four-speed AT.
