We performed a 1,000 km mileage test on the Maruti Suzuki Invicto alongside explaining its performance attributes in the video linked below
Earlier this month, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) introduced the Invicto MPV for a starting price of Rs. 24.79 lakh and it goes up to Rs. 28.42 lakh for the range-topping Alpha+ trim (both prices, ex-showroom). The Zeta+ variant is available with a seven- or eight-seater option while the Alpha+ is available only with seven seats.
The Maruti Suzuki Invicto is rolled out of the same production lines as its donor, the Toyota Innova Hycross, from the Bidadi plant. The Invicto is the badge-engineered version of the Innova Hycross and is the brand’s flagship offering. Retailed exclusively through the Nexa premium dealerships, the MPV is available only with a petrol hybrid engine.
The exterior comprises twin horizontal grille slats extending into the headlamps that gain triple-block treatment for the integrated LED Daytime Running Lights. Besides the new grille mesh, the front end gets updated bumper and faux skid plates while the tail lamps also come with the triple-block layout. Barring the new badges and 17-inch alloy wheels, no other differences can be seen.
With no dimensional changes, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto measures a length of 4,755 mm, a width of 1,850 mm and a height of 1,795 mm with a wheelbase length of 2,850 mm. The similarities inside the cabin are more than evident except for the all-black theme with golden accents in place of the dual-tone brown and black theme with silver accents.
In our detailed video review, we have explained its practicality, features, space, comfort and more importantly the fuel efficiency in a 1,000 km run. As for the performance, it uses a 2.0L four-cylinder TNGA Atkinson Cycle strong hybrid petrol engine developing a maximum power output of 186 hp. It is connected to only an e-CVT transmission driving the front wheels.
The features list composes a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a seven-inch digital console, more than 50 connected features, a 360-degree camera system, a panoramic sunroof, powered driver seat, powered tailgate, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, six airbags as standard, and much more.
