Maruti Vitara Brezza Review-3

Maruti Suzuki has ramped up the production by 10 percent and resultantly around 95,000 units were sold in April to October 2018 period

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has today announced in a statement that it has ramped up the production of its top-seller Vitara Brezza to bring down the waiting period for customers. Ever since debuting in the domestic market in March 2016, the Vitara Brezza has been a consistent sales contributor for the largest automaker in the country.

In no time, it toppled Hyundai Creta to become the best-selling SUV in the country and continued on its reign for more than two years. In the last twelve month, the Vitara Brezza’s sales have averaged around 14,000 units despite increased competition from the likes of Tata Nexon. To reduce the waiting period, Maruti Suzuki has ramped up its production by 10 percent.

During the current financial year (April to October 2018), Maruti Suzuki’s production increase meant 94,000 units were rolled out in comparison to the similar period last year. The production increase comes on the back of the Suzuki’s Gujarat plant functioning at its maximum capacity of 2.5 lakh units per annum. Maruti Suzuki is confident of enhancing the ownership due to the reduction in waiting period.

The Indo-Japanese company retailed over 1.48 lakh examples of the Vitara Brezza in FY2018. In the opening seven months of this fiscal, between April and October, around 95,000 units were sold. The Vitara Brezza holds the record for achieving 3 lakh sales milestone in the fastest way possible at just 28 months, and in total a massive 3.57 lakh Vitara Brezzas were delivered.
