The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is the most fuel-efficient SUV in the segment right now and is offered mild hybrid petrol and strong hybrid petrol engine options

The recently launched Maruti Grand Vitara is getting extremely popular in the country and is being offered with fuel efficient as well as powerful engine options for the buyers. The SUV currently has a strong demand in the market and takes on the rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, and the Skoda Kushaq. While the deliveries of the new Vitara began a few days ago, here is India’s first modified Grand Vitara with 18-inch alloy wheels.

For starters, these 18-inch multi-spoke wheels are finished in satin silver and gel well with the side profile of the SUV. As standard, the new Grand Vitara is offered with 17-inch dual-cut alloy wheels. For those wondering, this modified Maruti Grand Vitara was worked upon by Amritsar-based Ravi Tyres and now boasts a premium road presence.

It is however worth noting that using larger aftermarket alloy wheels not only affects the warranty of the car but also affects the suspension in the longer run. Furthermore, a larger rim size and low-profile tyres also make the ride quality suffer and are prone to damage.

It is thus not recommended for those with heavy highway use to get such wheels installed in their cars. The reliability of the mechanical components of the car also takes a toll due to these wheels in the longer run. The new Grand Vitara is offered in 10 variants for the buyers and is priced from Rs 10.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The brand is offering the Grand Vitara with two engine options – a 1.5L NA K15 mild-hybrid petrol engine and a 1.5L TNGA strong-hybrid petrol engine. Based on Suzuki’s Global C platform, the Grand Vitara boasts strong dynamics and is sold via the brand’s official NEXA dealerships.

The buyers also get a similar package with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder as the two SUVs not only share the same underpinnings and powertrain options but also get similar features and trim elements inside the cabin.
