Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Sport gets aggressive exterior upgrades to complement the already sharp looking MPV

Suzuki officially revealed second generation of Ertiga in Indonesia. We have already published a rendering of Ertiga Cross and now another rendering artist has surfaced which is Eritga Sports. The Ertiga Sport get black finish for front grill along with new wider front bumper and bigger air vents along with air curtain to channel air flow to the wheels.

The rendering artist has also given body skirts for Ertiga along with integrated rear spoiler and regular alloy wheels have been replaced with bigger wheels with a sporty design. Overall, Ertiga Sport looks really good and we hope that Suzuki will put forward some of these designs as accessory parts for Ertiga to make the MPV look sporty.

The Ertiga is based on HEARTECT platform which is already used in Baleno, Swift and Dzire. This new platform helps Ertiga to shed some weight over the predecessor. The new Ertiga is longer, wider and taller than outgoing model but the wheelbase remains to be same. Despite that the interior space has been improved and the trade off for increased space is the reduced boot space as new Ertiga boot is 32 litres smaller than previous model.

Suzuki also reduced ground clearance of Ertiga, but Indian spec model is expected to get similar ground clearance as previous model because our roads are not in the best shape always. The styling of new Ertiga is very good compared to previous model. We can see several design influence from other models as front headlamp design is inspired from Innova Crysta while the rear tail lamps are similar to Volvo’s.
