Maruti Suzuki Ciaz RS is finally here after being spied almost a year back, comes with cosmetic upgrades on the outside with full blown body kit
Seen almost a year back the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz RS has seen itself launched in a soft manner and in quick succession as the Ertiga launch happened just two days back. Maruti said some time back they will be launching a host of products and will leave no segment behind. Premium products will go through NEXA and other products will continue to come in and drive serious volumes for the company. Today, there is sporty version of Ciaz launched called as the Ciaz RS, which has a body kit attached to it.
Cosmetic upgrades on the Maruti Ciaz RS is a fully blown sporty body kit which includes of a prominent front bumper lip, side skirts and a boot-lid mounted spoiler, all of which enhance the aerodynamics of the car and the appeals to boy racers instantly. Interiors wise, the Maruti Ciaz RS comes with new sporty black interiors instead of the beige interior that came with the normal variant.
Everything else remains the same and as for the feature list, dual airbags and ABS is being offered as standard with the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz RS as well.The engines options remain the same as the 1.4-litre petrol motor which makes 95 PS and the 1.3-litre diesel with the SHVS hybrid technology produces 90 PS on the Ciaz.
Both engines come paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. A 4-speed automatic unit is also available and it is mated to the petrol unit. The Ciaz RS is the most fuel-efficient vehicle in the segment with the diesel engine equipped with SHVS mild hybrid tech returns 28.03 km/l which is ARAI certified. Maruti continues on a aggressive streak and with this Ciaz RS it wants to target younger audience. Let’s see how well the new mild hybrid tech does on the sales chart.
