Updated new Celerio is playing crucial role in boosting sales for the hatchback; gets a new crossover variant called Celerio X
Celerio has been one of the most successful cars from Maruti Suzuki. Like the rest of the world, in India too this hatchback has garnered popularity with its practicality and affordability. The new updated version of the car was launched few weeks ago and now the Indo-Japanese automaker has introduced a new crossover variant of the car that comes as Celerio X. At the launch of the car, the company has revealed that it has sold more than 3 lakh units of Celerio in the country so far.
This huge sales number for the model certainly points out to the success it has earned here. The new 2017 Celerio is playing crucial role in boosting the retail number, while the latest Celerio X is expected to boost the sales further. Interestingly, Celerio is not only popular in the Indian market, but in several global markets as well. In England it has earned the award of ‘Best Driver’s Car’.

Maruti Suzuki has been dominating the Indian small car market for quite long time with its range of affordable and practical cars. It is clear that Celerio has been playing a major role in the brand’s overall growth and with the refreshed models Maruti Suzuki is hoping even better result.
Speaking about the latest Celerio X model, it comes as a crossover variant of the hatchback. Based on the new Celerio, it sports a large glossy black front grille, black cladding adding masculinity. Not only exterior, inside the cabin too this car has been designed tastefully to grab attention of the buyers.

Priced between Rs. 4.57 lakh and Rs. 5.42 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), Maruti Suzuki Celerio X will lock horns with rivals like Renault Kwid. On the powertrain front, it uses a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine capable of generating 67 bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 90 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm. Transmission options include 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT as well.
