At the launch of the car, the company has revealed that it has sold more than 3 lakh units of Celerio in the country so far.

This huge sales number for the model certainly points out to the success it has earned here. The new 2017 Celerio is playing crucial role in boosting the retail number, while the latest Celerio X is expected to boost the sales further. Interestingly, Celerio is not only popular in the Indian market, but in several global markets as well. In England it has earned the award of ‘Best Driver’s Car’.

Priced between Rs. 4.57 lakh and Rs. 5.42 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), Maruti Suzuki Celerio X will lock horns with rivals like Renault Kwid. On the powertrain front, it uses a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine capable of generating 67 bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 90 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm. Transmission options include 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT as well.
